e.Soft has done a number of web applications including:

 

Online Barter System

This Web Application was designed to participate in online bartering of goods, commodities or services. Its here that an individual will have the option to place an item for sale while choosing or indicating one or more cash equivalent categories for bids or remain silent about it, in this case the individuals item will become a pure auction. Features of Online Barter* System: It has both the Module "Front and Back Office" Management.

 

Front Office consists of:

a) History Page > An individual can review his/her bidding history.

i) My Placed Barters
Here all the sell/trade barters that are initiated by the user are shown.

ii) My Bartered Barters
Here the barters placed by others against whom the user has posted his bid are shown.

iii) My Auctions
Here the sell barters that are initiated by the user are shown to him.

iv) My Bids
Here all the barter bids are shown.

b) Manage Account > Change password, Change personal information, Renew Account

c) Bid/Offer acceptance > Accept the bid/offer placed, once accepted the corresponding item will be removed from the listings.

d) Auction acceptance > An individual can accept the finalized auctions.

e) Review Bids > An individual can review the bids placed by him or can add a bid for already placed items.

 

Back Office consists of:

Back Office: This section will be accessible by the web site administrator for managing the site with a valid authentication.

a) Commodity Master > Facility to add/modify a commodity* and related hierarchies under it. It involves 3 steps:

i) Commodity Group > This creates the top most level commodity group under which Merchandise classes and Categories are further defined.
ii) Merchandise Classes > Here merchandise classes* are created under pre defined commodity groups respectively.
iii) Categories > Here categories are created under pre defined merchandise classes.

 

b) Listing Types > The types of barter/transaction that can occur are defined here, such as sell, trade, sell/trade etc.

 

c) User Management > An interface to manage the registered users, with the facility to contact by mail, phone, or the corresponding address. The admin can also blacklist a user if found to be guilty of violating user agreement such as for the claws of not placing any objectionable material or images on the site.

 

d) Revenue Details > Report to view Revenue Details

 

e) View Auctions > View and manage the auctions placed/won on the website

 

f) Mail Management > Mail a certain or a group of users about new auctions or bids depending upon there wish lists.

 

g) Bids Management > View daily bids placed along with the images uploaded and approve/disapprove as required. This will help the site to remain clean from any offensive material that could be placed by the users.

 

h) Listing Classification > From here admin can dynamically decide which links are to be shown on the left hand side of the user area pages and vice versa.

 

i) Listing Duration > Various schemes can be assigned for the display period of any commodity/good.

 

j) Listing Enhancement > Here a user is allowed to avail some enhancement to the common services provided, such as he may enhance his listing with a facility to display his email address. For these enhancement users have to pay extra charges.

 

k) Listing Terms > Different time periods are allocated to the users for the respective display of their listings based on their choices, and charges are made accordingly.
