Can an ERP system be customized after implementation, or does it need to be right from day one?

Most modern ERP systems, especially open-source ones like ERPNext, support ongoing customization after go-live. That said, it’s much smoother (and cheaper) to plan for known future needs upfront rather than treating every change as an afterthought.
